Multrum and landslides
This house is in Stenkumla and was built in the 70's by the owner Lasse Ahnell that in the aftermath of the early 70's oil crisis were early thoughts on a tight well insulated, energy efficient house with environmentally friendly solutions. The house is wood-fired with a hydronic heating system but also has an earth retaining structures where "soil hot" air into the basement and headed into the ventilation system to preheat the air that comes from fresh air intakes and then blown out through the roof vent. The house has no water, flush toilets, but the stool is led instead into a large tank (a multrum) in the basement where it is composted. Even leftovers end up in multrummet and together with other household waste separation makes it that it takes a long time for the family to fill his garbage can, pick a couple of times a year would be enough, according to their own data. Currently, the exemption from the local 14-day evacuation, but it is something they constantly have to fight.
